Scott + Michelle : Port Clinton, Ohio Wedding

They were both nervous. The good kind of nervous where your hands shake a little and you can't stop walking around in small circles. But all that changed the moment they saw each other that morning at their first look. Michelle was an absolute vision in her dress as she descended the stairs to where Scott was waiting for her at the shore of the Lake. As soon as he turned around to see her and reach out to touch her there was a collective sign between them. All the nerves vanished and were replaced with excitement for the rest of the day.

I was so glad when Michelle and Scott decided to do a first look at the bed and breakfast they were staying at on the shore of Lake Erie. The location was gorgeous and Scott's reaction to seeing his bride for the first time was absolutely perfect.

Scott and Michelle's wedding was a Mon Ami Winery in Port Clinton, Ohio and full of great, personal details. They had all of the guests sign wine corks as their own form of a guest book and instead of a unity candle or sand, they chose to do unity glass.

Michelle had her two sons, Spencer and Grant, walk her down the aisle and participate in the unity glass ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony and great to see what a big role Spencer and Grant played in their mom's very special day.

This is the picture of a very happy woman and a very relieved man- he was not looking forward to standing up there in front of everyone. I'm pretty sure I caught an actual sigh of relief.

Michelle and Scott, thank you so much for letting me capture your gorgeous wedding! It was an absolutely perfect day and such a pleasure to get to know you and your family!

Keep smiling!

Chris + Cecilia : Lancaster, Ohio Wedding

She was so nervous for their first date she had to drink some courage in the form of Jameson and Coke. Almost three years later, she poured the same drink for herself, her bridesmaids, and her mom as they toasted the upcoming wedding and prepared to slip her into her beautiful white dress. Cecilia's and Chris's wedding last Saturday was full of small, personal details like that one. The tractor that played a large part in Chris's proposal, a letter to his departed mother, and photos detailing their lives until their wedding day were also all incorporated into the reception. Chris and Cecilia are the picture of the perfect couple and their wedding last weekend was a picture perfect wedding. Both Chris and Cecilia have small town roots with close ties to their families which made for an intimate, fun, and romantic country wedding.

Chris and Cecilia- thank you so much for letting Blake and I capture your special day and tell your love story. We are so blessed for having been included in your wedding day. I hope you have an amazing time in Hawaii next week and I know you two have an incredible future ahead of you.

We started the day at Studio Fovero in Columbus's gorgeous German Village and then headed back to Cecilia's childhood home to get her in her dress and take a few pictures. Including an adorable one with her furry best friend.

The ceremony and reception were held on land that Cecilia owns not far from where she grew up. She and Chris did an amazing job transforming a field into a gorgeous wedding venue (along with help from Personal Touch Party Rentals).

I loved catching these moments right after Chris and Cecilia walked back down the aisle as a married couple. Cecilia getting a high five from her niece and Chris not being able to keep himself away from his beautiful bride.

Did I mention the amazing flowers and signs!? They were absolutely wonderful and the gorgeous flowers are from the fabulous Madison House Designs.

After such a gorgeous ceremony we spent the rest of the evening eating, laughing, and being led through the rest of the festivities by the amazing Capitol City Sound.

And I have to end with this precious picture from Chris and Cecilia's first dance as a married couple. It's a perfect way to show how close and in love these two were that night and will be for many, many years to come.

Meet James: 2014 Senior Portraits - Baltimore, Ohio

This is James, he's my very first 2014 senior and I couldn't have had a better introduction to the class of 2014. James is a great guy who is active in Liberty Union's marching band and is planning on heading into the world of business after high school next year. We had a great time last weekend at Alt Park in Baltimore and he humored me as I made him play his trombone and dance in the middle of a field.

James, thanks so much for spending the day with me! Enjoy your senior year and good luck with everything after high school!

David- Pataskala, Ohio Mini Senior Session

You might recognize David from my senior session with him last summer and think he's missing something - like his afro. His mom contacted me a while ago to say that David needed an update to his senior pictures because he cut his hair. His first senior shoot was so fun, I didn't hesitate to say yes (you can see his first shoot here).

We met up for a mini-session at the Fire Station where David volunteers to get some pictures of his new 'do and work with some giant props. David's planning on going to Hocking College in the Fall to eventually become a full-time firefighter. David's mom even convinced him to get a little dressed up for a few pictures, and any guy who can wear a suit on an 86 degree day can handle a fire any day in my book.

David- thanks so much for hanging out with me and smiling through the pain and the heat. Good luck with everything in the future and enjoy the last few days of your senior year!

Keep smiling,
Kaylina
